About Carrie Chen | Bay Area Wedding & Portrait Photographer

Fine Art Wedding Photography and Portraiture

my story

As a professional photographer, my work is my passion, and being a wedding photographer in San Francisco is my life, my art, and I love every minute of it. Art has always been a big part of my life. I began drawing at a young age, and receiving my first SLR film camera at age ten sparked my love for photography. My father, an amateur photographer, was there from the beginning to inspire me to develop my artistic vision through my photographs.
In college, I studied Environmental Design and Photography at the University of California Irvine, and I continued my studies in Photography through the UCLA Extension's Art, Design & Photography Program. During my time spent in Los Angeles, I modeled professionally for ten years, and I was a regional finalist in both the Young Miss America Pageant and the Miss Chinese Southern California Pageant. My experience in modeling and being in front of the camera has enabled me to further relate with the couples that I work with and help them to feel more confident and relaxed while they are being photographed.
In 2007, I followed my heart and found my true calling as a portrait and wedding photographer. I see every event as a new opportunity to share my passion for art and photography with the rest of the world. As a Bay Area wedding photographer, it is a true honor for me to be able to preserve the priceless moments of a couple's wedding day. Knowing that they will be able to look back on their wedding photographs and cherish them for the rest of their lives makes my job truly fulfilling, and I take pride in offering this service to my clients. I would love to work with you and capture your special wedding day story!
